The Martensdale-St. Marys women and boys basketball squads swept a pair of Satisfaction of Iowa Conference residence video games towards Wayne on Jan. 8.

The Blue Satan women gained forty nine-13 to enhance to eleven-1 general and 6-1 within the Satisfaction of Iowa Conference. The boys improved to 10-1 general and a conference-main 7-zero.

Martensdale-St. Marys women 49, Wayne 13

The Blue Satan women led 10-5 after the primary half then took full management with a 21-0 second-quarter run to steer 31-5 on the half.

Juniors Skylyr Stewart and Jensen Archibald led the best way. Stewart hit 4 three-tips about the best way to 14 points and Archibald added 12. Senior Sophia Gibson had six, junior Maddy Stott five, senior Katelyn Amfahr and freshman Anna Parrott each had four, junior Grace Hart two and senior Tori Reynolds and sophomore Kylie Keller one every. Archibald led the staff with five assists with Stott including three, Gibson two and Reynolds, Stewart and Parrott one each.

Gibson had a group-excessive 9 rebounds with Stott getting six, Parrott five, Reynolds and Stewart three each, Archibald and Amfahr two every, Hart and Keller one every. Stott and Archibald every had 4 steals with Gibson including three, Stewart two and Amfahr one. Archibald had a blocked shot.

Martensdale-St. Marys boys 64, Wayne 30

Sophomore Trey Baker and junior Isaac Gavin every scored sixteen to assist the Blue Devil boys to a sixty four-30 house win over Wayne on Jan. 8.

Martensdale-St. Marys built a 37-thirteen halftime lead and continued to roll in the second half ending within the 34-point profitable advantage.

Backing Baker and Gavin, sophomore Carson Elbert scored 11, senior Esa Johanson seven, freshman Hogan Franey 5, sophomore Jack Franey three and sophomores Troy Holt, JT Archibald and Baize Gibson every had two. Elbert had 5 assists with Jack Franey getting four, Gavin two and Hogan Franey, Johanson, Archibald and Baker one each.

Gavin had 15 rebounds and Baker 12 to steer the Blue Devils. Johanson had six, Jack Franey, Elbert and Archibald 4 each, Holt three, Gibson two and Hogan Franey and junior Cael Reynolds one each. Jack Franey had five steals with Holt getting four, Hogan Franey two and sophomore Tom Brooks and Archibald one every. Baker and Gavin also every blocked a shot.
