Bald eagle watching season under way in Illinois

ROCK ISLAND, Unwell. (AP) — The season for bald eagle watching in Illinois takes off this month.

The Illinois Workplace of Tourism says some three,000 bald eagles migrate to Illinois rivers every winter. That makes the state the most effective locations in the nation to see America’s national fowl.

The workplace is working with the Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau to showcase the birds via Fb Stay. A reside streaming this Friday (Jan. 18) will let on-line viewers see bald eagles as they nest, fly and hunt.

A number of events are planned by way of January and into February. They embrace this weekend’s Bald Eagle Days in Rock Island, one of the largest bald eagle occasions within the Midwest.

Later this month, there’s the Bald Eagle Watch Weekend in Oglesby and Great River Eagle Days in Quincy.
