Award-winning choir to sing at Augustana College



Augustana School will host their annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration on January twelfth at 6:00 p.m. To rejoice the life and legacy of MLK the school will welcome quite a lot of performers to Centennial Hall. The occasion is free to attend.

Dexter Walker and the Zion Motion are set to headline the night time. This award profitable choir was started in 2003 by Minister Dexter Walker. Originally the choir was based mostly in Walker’s grandma’s basement. Since then, the choir has gained the Chicago All-Metropolis Gospel Challenge Choir Competitors, toured across the country, and signed report contracts.

The celebration will embrace further performances by the Teranga Drum Circle and Augustana college students. The night time will even function a reside painting completed by Chinetana Phounsavath.
