William E. Gilpin, sixty nine, of Russell, Kansas recognized to family and friends as Invoice, handed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 on the Russell Regional Hospital.
Invoice was born September 20, 1948 in Smith Middle, Kansas, the son of Paul and Eula (Warner) Gilpin. He grew up in Smith Middle and graduated from Smith Middle Excessive Faculty within the Class of ’sixty six. A proud native of Smith Middle, Invoice performed basketball at Cloud County Group School and Kansas Wesleyan. He graduated from Wesleyan with a level in English Literature. Invoice then served his nation as an officer within the U.S. Navy throughout 1971 through 1974.
Invoice was united in marriage to Margie Ann Wiehl on October 26, 1968 in Salina, Kansas. This union was blessed with three youngsters; Tish, Justin and Chip. They made their residence in Williamsburg, Virginia throughout his army tour, after which moved to Russell.
Invoice lived in Russell for forty two years and has all the time been a small enterprise proprietor locally that he cherished; first as proprietor and operator of Gilpin & Gorton, Inc. Wholesale Meals Service and co-proprietor of Paper Marts and in newer years as a monetary planner with Gilpin Investments. He was an individual who had by no means met a stranger and can be missed by these he interacted with each day. He’ll all the time be remembered as probably the most honest and real man. Invoice’s surviving household embrace his spouse of forty nine years, Margie of the house; daughter, Tish Warren (Doug) of Nice Bend, Kansas; sons, Justin Gilpin (Angie) of Emporia, Kansas and Chip Gilpin (Gina) of Overland Park, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Nick Warren, Kate Warren, Taryn Warren, Probability Gilpin, Gracie Gilpin, Milo Gilpin and Mackenzie Gilpin. He was preceded in dying by his mother and father and sister Karen Gorton.
Celebration of Invoice’s Life might be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, December eight, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church of Russell. Graveside Service might be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, at Fairview Cemetery in Smith Middle, Kansas. Visitation shall be held from 9:00 AM to eight:00 PM, Thursday, December eight, 2017 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary with the household current to greet associates from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
