George Edmund Kristek, 88, of Salina, handed away Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017. He was born March 27, 1929, to Joseph and Mary (Havlik) Kristek in Marion County. George married Pauline Bogner in 1957. They just lately celebrated their sixtieth wedding ceremony anniversary collectively.
He was lively and supportive of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Tampa, for over 20 years and was a 70-yr member of the Knights of Columbus. George was a member of the Lions Membership and American Legion (Korean Conflict Veteran). He additionally served as a volunteer for the Tampa ambulance service and as volunteer Tampa Hearth Chief. He owned Geo’s market in Tampa and Kristek Liquor in Salina.
George is survived by: his spouse, Pauline; son, Raymond Kristek of Kansas Metropolis; daughters, Karen Glotzbach (Joe) of Silver Lake, Shirley Mello (John) of DeSoto, Rosie Mitchell of Manhattan, JoAnn Pelter (Scott) of Topeka, and Anita Doubrava of Roland, Okla.; brother, Albert Kristek of Auburn, Wash.; sister, Florence Bezdek of Liberty, Mo.; eleven grandchildren; and 9 nice-grandchildren.
He’s preceded in dying by his mother and father.
Visitation shall be 6-eight p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, with a vigil at 7 p.m. at Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
Mass of Christian Burial shall be at 9:30 a.m. Nov. eleven, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salina. Burial will comply with at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tampa.
Memorials could also be made to: St. Mary’s Catholic Grade Faculty, Salina, Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Tampa, or Hospice of Salina, all in care of the mortuary.
