Dorothy L. LaRocque, one hundred and five, of Salina, handed away Monday, Dec. four, 2017. Dorothy was born Sept. 28, 1912, in Glasco, to Paul and Anna (Frank) LaRocque.
Dorothy graduated from nurse’s coaching at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita and labored as an RN in Wichita and Oxnard, Calif. She continued her research in Springfield, Unwell. to develop into a nurse anesthetist. From there she went to Billings, Mont., and labored as the primary nurse anesthetist in one of many hospitals there. Wanting to maneuver again to California, Dorothy continued her work in Santa Barbara, Calif., and ultimately moved and labored on the VA Hospital in Wichita. She retired from there to look after her mom in Beloit, till her mom’s passing 5 years later. Dorothy ultimately moved to Salina the place she has resided ever since.
Dorothy was a quiet, however beneficiant contributor to many charities all through her lifetime. She discovered nice pleasure in serving to the poor and the hungry. Dorothy died at a hundred and five years previous and seemed ahead to seeing the Lord.
She is survived by: her sisters, Maxine Heinen (Paul) of Salina, and Theresa Wehkamp, of Backyard Metropolis; and lots of nieces, nephews, nice and nice nice nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials could also be made to Catholic Charities, in care of Ryan Mortuary, Salina.
